Kuwait SMEs fund urges more coop. with NGOs to back entrepreneurs
KUWAIT, July 26 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's National Fund for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) on Wednesday called for greater cooperation between state bodies and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) alike, saying it would be instrumental in supporting aspiring entrepreneurs.

State support for SMEs ranges from funding these endeavors to advisory aid, the fund's chief Adel Al-Hasawi said amid a signing ceremony to clinch a deal with the Federation of Kuwaiti Professionals and Business Associates for Small and Medium Enterprises (BPW), most of whom were hit hard by the ramifications of the COVID pandemic.
SMEs form an integral component of the national economy's growth and development, he underlined, saying it would help create a "multidimensional and diverse" economy that would place on the nation firmly on the road towards prosperity.
Echoing his sentiments, BPW chief Sheikha Hessa Al-Sabah emphasized that the body fully backs owners of SMEs and would-be entrepreneurs, helping translate their ambitions into national success stories. (end) fnk.nam.
