WhatsApp Business is a free-to-download Android app for small businesses.

Before downloading the app, please be aware of the following:

• If you have an existing WhatsApp Messenger account, you'll have the option to migrate your chat history to your new WhatsApp Business account. We recommend that you make a manual backup before proceeding.
• Your chat history can't be migrated back to WhatsApp Messenger if you decide to stop using WhatsApp Business.
• You can use both apps, WhatsApp Business and WhatsApp Messenger. Each app, however, must be linked to its own unique phone number. It's not possible to have one phone number linked to both apps at the same time.
• The app is currently being rolled out to the world. If it's not available now, please check Google Play Store again later.

Then:

1. Download WhatsApp Business from Google Play Store.
2. Verify your business phone number, the one you wish to use to talk to customers.
3. Restore your chat history, if you wish.
4. Set your business name.
5. Build your profile. Tap More options  > Settings > Business settings > Profile.

WhatsApp Business Profile allows you to add information about your company, including your business name, address, category, description, email and website. People can easily see this information when they look at your profile.

To edit your business profile:

1. Open WhatsApp Business > Tap More options  > Settings > Business settings > Profile.
2. Tap Edit on the top-right corner.
3. Tap on any field to update it > Save.

By default, WhatsApp sets your privacy settings to allow:

• Any WhatsApp user to see your read receipts, last seen, about and profile photo.
• Your contacts to see your status updates.

To change these settings, simply go to WhatsApp > tap More options  > Settings > Account > Privacy.

Note:

• If you don't share your last seen, you won't be able to see other people's last seen.
• There is no way to hide when you are online or typing.
• If you turn off read receipts, you won't be able to see read receipts from other people. Read receipts are always sent for group chats.
• If a contact has disabled read receipts, you will not be able to see that they have viewed your status update.

There are a couple of indicators that you may be blocked:

• You can no longer see a contact's last seen or online in the chat window. Learn more here.
• You do not see updates to a contact's profile photo.
• Any messages sent to a contact who has blocked you will always show one check mark (message sent), and never show a second check mark (message delivered).
• Any calls you attempt to place will not go through.

If you see all of the indicators above for a contact, this could mean that the user is blocking you. However, there are other possibilities. We have made this intentionally ambiguous in order to protect your privacy when you block someone. Thus, we cannot tell you if you are being blocked by someone else.
