EU GDP up by 0.1 pct

BRUSSELS, June 8 (KUNA) -- In the first quarter of this year, GDP in the European Union increased by 0.1 percent compared with the previous quarter, according to figures released by Eurostat, the EU's statistical office Thursday.

GDP in the euro area was down by 0.1 percent for the same period.
Compared with the same quarter of the previous year, GDP increased by 1.0 percent both in the euro area and in the EU.
In the fourth quarter of 2022, GDP had decreased by 0.1 percent in the euro area and by 0.2 percent in the EU, it noted. (end) nk.gta.
